A big THANK YOU to all of the entries and votes in our facebook contest.  I had so much fun seeing all of your entries.

A big congratulations goes to Johnny (and his mom Amy) for rallying enough votes to win the photo shoot.  I can’t wait for our session.

Octavia is one of my fabulous 2011 Senior Spokesmodels. And honestly, she’s fabulous!

Not only is she a great student, but she plays softball, volunteers at the hospital every weekend, AND she’s a budding photographer.  That’s some serious talent!

Thank you Octavia for being game to all of my crazy ideas. You’re gorgeous and a ton of fun. Good luck with your photography!

Do you want to be a model? Do you think you have what it takes to rock a shoot?

Do you love fashion and want to show off your fabulous style?
Then we are looking for you.  This is the contest you’ve been waiting for!

Here’s the deal:

Send a photo of yourself by Monday, May 24th to Meg@megsextonphotography.com. Be sure to include your name, age and what makes you fabulous.

We’ll upload all of the entries to a facebook album titled “Real Life, Real Cute: The search for a Supermodel”. You’ll have from May 25-29 to get the most votes to win. Send that link out to anyone and everyone to get them to “like” your pictures. The pictures with the most votes (Likes) wins! Comments are fabulous, but only “likes” will count towards your voting total.

The rules are simple.

All photos must feature you, and only you.  (No nudity, PLEASE!)  If your mom and your bff are standing next to you, take a new photo!

Photos will be posted as sent, so be sure you send in your favorite.

Voters and contestants must have a facebook account. And you can vote for as many people as you’d like. (Including yourself!) Just tell mom, dad, your sister or your favorite teacher to vote for you.

Winner must be willing to sign a model release.  If you are under 18, your parent or guardian will need to sign it as well.

The winner will get a free session with Meg and an 8×10 print to start off (Or add to!) their modeling portfolio.

I know, I know. The blog has been SLOW. I’ve had a good excuse though… it’s been busy! So, I’m back and I bring pictures. And a promise a of fabulous posts to come.

About a month ago, I received an email from a local photographer looking for some photos of herself. I’ve mentioned it before, but I feel like I have to say it again. I love shooting other photographers. Not only is it flattering, but it’s just a lot of fun. It’s a chance for me to learn and observe someone else who does what I do. And in the end, I hope to make a new friend! (Andrea, those drinks are calling!)

What I loved most though, was that Andrea brought along not only her husband, but her adorable dog Sydney. Since we decided to meet in the hills of Livermore – I couldn’t have been more excited for ANYTHING on four legs that could sniff out snakes. ((shudder)) I don’t do snakes.

Andrea, thank you again for spending the afternoon with me. You are fabulous.
