There isn’t anything better in the world, in my opinion, than laying by the ocean. I find the salty brine filled air to be intoxicating, the hot sand lukewarm water always lure me into a state of constant happiness. After a week in Cabo, I’m about as relaxed as I can get. Koka and I stayed at the Riu Palace in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. It was a spur of the moment decision to go. Our first trip since having Grayson. I’m not sure who was more excited… me, or my mother who watched the little guy for us. I had visions of pool side reading, fruity blended beverages and tons and tons of guacamole. I was not disappointed!
Now, leave it to a photographer to bring a camera and two lenses, but take only a handful of pictures. What can I say, I was decompressing!
I did manage to sneak my camera out and shoot just a bit behind the overly crowded, tourist filled marina. Even with my husband speaking words of warning about the seedy area, I just had to capture the last market on the ’strip’. You can’t really tell from these images, but there were men with what I can only describe as offices in the half constructed building about the market place.

On the way into Cabo, I thought the open airport was incredibly quaint. Refreshing even now that we’re all so used to the bustling, crazy international airports of the states. However, on the exit trip, after two hours waiting for United Airlines agents to hand write our boarding passes, I was missing a little modern technology!

Adios Mexico. Until next time….
