I’m going to tell you right now, Trisha is a girl you want to get to know.

Trisha is the brain behind Trisha Dean Events based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Not only is she uber talented, but the girl has some serious style. (Plus, she’s also a former client!) She and I recently paired to shoot a styled engagement session and the results are knock your socks off gorgeous.   I was so impressed!

If you are engaged, soon to be engaged or single and ready to party, give Trisha a call. I promise, you’ll love her!

Isn’t she cute?

Thank you to everyone who played our game.

I’ve never done a giveaway on my blog before. But one of my favorite clients, Joslyn, is picking up and moving to the big apple.  To say I’m jealous would be an understatement.  I’ve always wanted to live in New York! Lucky girl.

Joslyn is independent stylist for the fabulous Stella & Dot Jewelry line. The media can’t get enough of Stella and Dot.  I’ve seen the jewels in the likes of InStyle, Lucky, and Modern bride, and amazingly, it’s available for us mere mortals at STELLA & DOT via Joslyn Dehner! Head on over to check out these modern, fashionable Jewels, but better yet as a parting gift to San Francisco, Joslyn is offering you all a chance to win these fabulous earrings.

A few weeks ago, my cousin Genn and her family drove all the way down from Santa Rosa with her family for some pictures at the fabulous Borges Ranch. Now, I always love taking pictures of beautiful families, but I’m extra flattered with one of my close friends (or in this case a close cousin) asks me to take them.

Genn and I practically grew up together. For a long time, we looked a lot a like.  People thought we were twins! (Well, one person did – so we thought it was a universal rule!)  We spent our childhood years carrying around our fully stocked caboodle make-up kits, our pre-teen summers pretending we were characters from the Sweet Valley High book series, and our adult lives being each others bridesmaids and parenting consultants.  I feel so lucky to have Genn in my life. And I couldn’t be more excited for her and her happy family.

Thank you Genn and Chris for bring your family all the way down here.  I had so much fun chasing the kids around the ranch.

Little Danika is an exact replica of Genn.  And she’s serious about her cuteness.

This post is a few weeks late, but I just couldn’t pass it up! A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to join JVS and Anne in Oakland, CA for a fabulous one day lighting workshop. 8 lighting situation using nothing but speedlights? 12 hours of learning and shooting?  Bring it. I’m a natural light girl and I love nothing better than being outside working with the sun, but I’m also up for a challenge. Now?  I’m ready to rock some off camera flash.

You can see some behind the scenes video from JVS here. Can you spot me? I make an appearance right at the beginning.

Here are some of my favorite shots from throughout the day.

Seriously, is she not GORGEOUS.  She was working it, for sure.

Shooting in Jack London Square makes me giddy.  It’s one of my favorite places to shoot, and it was fun to get a different perspective on a place I’ve been so many times.

I’m loving the flare in this series.  Technically flare is considered a flaw.  But I really do love it!

Thank you to Angela for bring JVS to the Bay Area!

There are few things I like as much as Holiday cards. As I mentioned last year, I’m OBSESSED. To be honest, there really isn’t a paper product that I don’t love, but there is a special place in my heart for sending and receiving holiday cards. I start planning what our holiday cards will look like around this time every year, so I thought it was a perfect time to share my new holiday cards for the 2010 holiday season.

After all, there are only 165 days left until Christmas. ;)

It always amazes me that I’m as lucky as I am. I have GREAT clients. (And a fabulous job to boot.) Getting to shoot Amy and her family was like a dream.  I mean, as a clothes horse myself, I really do love it when my clients have an interest in fashion.  But I’m over joyed when their husbands do too!  I love that John had almost as many accessories with him as Amy.  Thank you John, for being a good sport. Seriously, you’re awesome.

Johnny, at 17 months, was an absolute riot.  This kid is obsessed with trains.  Obsessed.  If I had known in advance that this kid could be first in line at the Thomas the Train convention, I may have steered them towards a different location. But as luck would have it, we could hear the trains passing us from our Benicia destination. Every 10 minutes or so we’d stop shooting and let Johnny point and yell and just generally be excited at the passing train cars. I loved it!

I had so much fun with you guys. And I just know our boys would have a budding Bromance.
