Melissa and her husband have a magnificently moving story. She’s a hardworking doctor. He’s a local fireman. Together, they radiate love like crazy.

I was so excited to get a call from Melissa about her maternity photos. Not only did she sound truly sweet and charming, she started off by asking me if it would be ok to include her chickens in her photo shoot. I wouldn’t be lying if I told you that there was some fist pumping going on in the background. Chickens! Maternity photos! To me, that equals a recipe for some amazing photos. Now, imagine my surprise and delight when I showed up to find out that not only were there chickens, but Melissa and her husband had goats. And sheep! And more than a few vintage cars! I was a photographer in heaven. And all I could think of during my time with them was how lucky their little boy is going to be. Imagine growing up with that many animals! And how cool are you when you’re a 13 year old boy and your dad picks you up from school in his classic Cadillac?

Thank you Melissa for such a wonderful session. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you! And I can’t wait to meet you little guy!

Danielle is amazeballs. Seriously. She is really and truly a gorgeous person inside and out. I had so much fun with her planning this session, helping her pick clothes and listening to her talk about her last crush. She smiled when I asked and had no problem rolling around in the dirt. (You only think I’m exaggerating!) If I could do high school all over again, I can only hope I’d be as positive as she is!

Great things are coming for your Danielle! I know it!

I absolutely love when I get to spend a day with repeat clients. It feels so much more like hanging out with good friends than anything close to actual work. Gabriela and her brood were no exception. I love seeing them! Plus, they let me take them to really great placesand have no problem planting themselves in the dirt for me. (For that, I’m extra grateful!)

For this session, we headed out to the incredibly gorgeous park next to the Berkeley Marina. Hello city views!

Gabriela, thank you for being such a good sport, a wonderful person and an incredibly awesome baby maker. If Dario goes missing, you’ll know where to find him!
