It all started with a weekend away with 9 other amazing photographers. It’s turning into a blog full of eye candy.

I was incredibly fortunate to be able to attend a workshop last month with an amazing group of artists. I was so inspired with the talents of these lovely ladies and basically, I realized that I rarely pick up my camera any more to shoot for myself. That’s how the CMPro Daily Project idea was born. It’s turned into so much inspiration and I’m incredibly grateful to be included. (Hello, amazing artistic talents.)

It’s been an amazing outlet and learning tool for me. A place to shoot for me and not worry about how the images will be received or if they are perfect. If you have a moment, please take a peak! (You can see my stream of images HERE. )

So now, I urge you all to go forth and find a similar project! Pick up your point and shoot, your fancy DSLR, or even you camera phone; it doesn’t matter! No one is grading you. Just shoot and document the moments around you. And if you’re so inclined there are so many great (And free!) resources out there to start a blog with your all of your moments. If you haven’t already, I urge you all to start one for yourself. (Check out Tumblr for a great picture oriented blog. Or Wordpress if you’re thinking you’d like to do some customizing.)

So as I push myself to not only shoot more, but to shoot for ME, you may see more of my little family gracing the blog. I hope you enjoy it!

September 19, 2011

I’m giddy with excitment to be featured on the On to Baby blog. On to Baby, created by the lovely ladies behind The Wedding Chicks, is full of eye candy for all things baby and maternity. It’s an honor to be a part of their story.

I simply adore Carey. First, she’s hilarious. Second, she’s genuine. And third, she’s just plain wonderful. I was beyond excited to be able to go all the way across the country for their destination wedding in Northeast Harbor, Maine. Not only was I thrilled to be a part of their wedding day, I’d never been to that part of the east coast before! But seeing Carey and Eric get married was magical. They are really and truly meant for each other. Their humor was catching, their love was palpitate, and their enjoyment of early nineties music made for quite possibly the best reception dancing I’ve ever seen.

Thank you Carey, for inviting me to be a part of your truly amazing wedding day. Your were are a fantastic client, but an even better friend.

This past weekend was my husband’s company picnic. I brought my camera along because, well, that’s just what I do. I expected to get plenty of my child with balloons and face paint. Maybe a few of him and my darling husband. And while I did get those, I just couldn’t help by sneak in a few shots of the lovely Wendy VonSosen’s daughter, Maddy.

This is just how the stylish Maddy dressed. For a company picnic. Maybe it has something to do with her mom being a fabulous photographer?  If only I could redo high school with her style. (And her hair!)

So, this is what I got in 5 minutes as the fog rolled in over the hills, with a yellow balloon animal bunny sticking out of my jeans pocket.
