There are times that I leave a shoot and it takes every ounce of energy I have not to shout out loud or silently, but emphatically, fist pump from excitement. This was one of those sessions. Everything about it, from the love shared between Lauren and Dmitriy, to the incredibly winter sun, have me excited to share with the world.

Lauren and Dmitriy are so incredibly wonderful. They are filled with such a huge amount of love for each other and energy for life that simply being near them made me a happier person. And not only were they up for anything, they came to their shoot with incredible ideas of their own.  Those balloons?  Lauren’s idea.  Bringing their deliciously smoosh faced pup?  Also a brilliant Lauren idea.  All around, they were a blast.  And Lauren, you’re incredibly gorgeous, inside and out.

I have a feeling that their wedding will be filled so much genuine emotion that it will be nothing short of amazing.   Plus, they are working with Angela from Lulu Events.  And shes amazing herself.

There were so many incredible photos to choose from, but here are a few of my favorites.

If you follow me on facebook, you’ve probably already seen this photo.  But I love it so much, I’m posting it twice. A tiny sneak peek from an engagement session last weekend – I can’t wait to share them all!

This is Lauren – I kind of want to be her.

Kara + Brandon | Engaged

February 4, 2011

After not just one rescheduling, but two, I was super excited to shoot Kara and Brandon’s engagement photos. I knew the two of them would be a blast in front of the camera, and I wasn’t disappointing. I had so much fun wandering around Benicia with you guys. I can’t wait until your wedding!

Right now, I’m giddy. Want to know why?

Well, remember that sneak peak I posted at the beginning of August? I can post it now. All of it. And I wasn’t lying about it being worth the wait. Oh no. It really did rock my socks off. First of all Trishais Ah-mah-zing. If you need a wedding coordinator in the San Francisco area, I would hire here in a heart beat. Second, Michaela and AJ were truly a joy.

I’m pretty sure there isn’t anything more fun than a picnic in your backyard. But possibly, pink champagne, strawberry waffles and a chest of photos just may top that! Add to all that fabulousness a gorgeous, wonderful couple and you have the perfect recipe for breathtaking engagement pictures.

I feel so lucky to be a part of this event. Thank you AJ, Michaela and Trisha!

Hang on to your hats folks.  I have a doozy coming up.

I can’t share much, but remember that Event Planner I posted about last week?  Well, she’s amazing.  And the shoot we did together rocked my socks off.  I can’t post more than a  quick peek at the moment, but just know that what’s coming will be worth the wait.

I’m going to tell you right now, Trisha is a girl you want to get to know.

Trisha is the brain behind Trisha Dean Events based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Not only is she uber talented, but the girl has some serious style. (Plus, she’s also a former client!) She and I recently paired to shoot a styled engagement session and the results are knock your socks off gorgeous.   I was so impressed!

If you are engaged, soon to be engaged or single and ready to party, give Trisha a call. I promise, you’ll love her!

Isn’t she cute?

I know, I know. The blog has been SLOW. I’ve had a good excuse though… it’s been busy! So, I’m back and I bring pictures. And a promise a of fabulous posts to come.

About a month ago, I received an email from a local photographer looking for some photos of herself. I’ve mentioned it before, but I feel like I have to say it again. I love shooting other photographers. Not only is it flattering, but it’s just a lot of fun. It’s a chance for me to learn and observe someone else who does what I do. And in the end, I hope to make a new friend! (Andrea, those drinks are calling!)

What I loved most though, was that Andrea brought along not only her husband, but her adorable dog Sydney. Since we decided to meet in the hills of Livermore – I couldn’t have been more excited for ANYTHING on four legs that could sniff out snakes. ((shudder)) I don’t do snakes.

Andrea, thank you again for spending the afternoon with me. You are fabulous.
